F/V Capesante
The Capesante (Italian for “scallop”) joined the company in 2015. Based in Ushuaia, Argentina, the vessel was built in Spain in 2002 and then completely renovated before sailing the Argentine Sea in 2014. The Capesante fishes year-round in the waters bordering the Argentine continental shelf. Scallops are harvested, shucked, cleaned and individually quick-frozen within an hour of catch.

PROCESSING PLANT IN USHUAIA
Located in the world’s southernmost city on earth, the Ushuaia facility is primarily used to hand-sort and repack scallops identified on board as requiring further processing.
The onshore plant has cold storage room for up to 450 metric tons of frozen product.
