Investing in people to drive change.
We believe that a socially responsible company has the ability to listen to and take into account the interests of the multiple parties involved in a business (shareholders, employees, suppliers, consumers, the community, the government and the environment) and incorporate them into the planning of its activities.
With the conviction that the best investment a company can make is to support projects designed by specialists, since 2003, we have established collaboration agreements and alliances with universities, civil society organizations, business entities, and public institutions under the Private Social Investment and Promotion of Social Responsibility framework.
In line with aligning our Sustainability Policy with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), our investment is focused on projects that contribute to eradicating poverty (SDG 1), promoting health and well-being (SDG 3), ensuring quality education (SDG 4), fostering job creation and economic growth (SDG 8), promoting responsible production and consumption (SDG 12), measuring carbon footprint and implementing corresponding reduction and offset plans (SDG 13), and promoting scientific research for marine ecosystem conservation (SDG 14). Additionally, from a methodological perspective, our commitment to working in partnership with others, aligning actions among the public sector, civil society, and the private sector, has always been a driving force for sustainable development (SDG 17).
The two pillars of our strategy:
Private social investment
Investing time, talent and material and economic resources in order to build a future with opportunities for all.
Promotion of social responsibility
With the conviction that the best results are achieved when working as a team and collaborating with others, Glaciar Pesquera has always sought to develop synergies with other companies for the promotion of good business practices, training its employees in social responsibility and holding meetings for sharing and debating successful and unsuccessful social responsibility experiences.
