THE WELL-BEING OF OUR CREW AND THE ENTIRE TEAM AT GLACIAR PESQUERA IS AN ESSENTIAL PART OF OUR ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE AND COMMITMENT TO QUALITY AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT.
Our Safety Management System (SMS) focuses on ensuring maritime safety, preventing personal injury or loss of life, as well as damage to the environment and company assets. The Occupational Health and Safety Management System covers the preparation, provisioning, fishing, and production of Patagonian scallops on both vessels Atlantic Surf III and Capesante.
Our pursuit of continuous improvement led us to certify the Atlantic Surf III vessel and the office to the OHSAS 18001 occupational safety standard in 2017. In 2021, we obtained ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety certification for both vessels, the Ushuaia plant, and the administrative office, with recertification in 2024.
In 2025, Glaciar Pesquera received the FISH Standard for Crew certification after several months of preparation and an exhaustive review of policies and procedures, vessels inspections, and personal interviews with crew members selected by the auditor. It is the first fishing company in South America to receive this recognition.

FISH Standard
FISH (Fairness, Integrity, Safety and Health) Standard for Crew provides a voluntary, independent and accredited third-party certification program for labour practices on vessels in wild-capture fisheries around the globe. The FISH Standard is based on ILO-C188 and related guidance.
